Oregon

Oregon is a great state to fly seaplanes in, however there is very little seaplane activity within the state. For more detailed information about seaplanes in Oregon, visit C-SPA.org.

Oregon is home to the largest airplane ever built, a seaplane by Howard Hughes. The Spruce Goose is located at the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum in McMinnville, Oregon (KMMV). Visit the museum’s website by clicking here.

There are two regional seaplane associations that work with the seaplane community in Oregon they are:

Columbia Seaplane Pilots Association

Washington Seaplane Pilots Association

Four northwestern states, Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana have adopted an AIS training program available online at seaplaneaistraining.com  Please visit this site, watch the video and take the test before operating in the region.
