Italy offers more seaplane flying opportunities than most of our other European countries thanks to the Lake Como Aero Club on Lake Como.
This historic seaplane base dates back to 1913 and the and Aero Club dates back to the early 1930's.
Known as the place to fly seaplanes in Europe Aero Club Como operates a fleet of up to 10 different seaplanes including a Lake amphibian, Piper Super Cub, a SeaBee, Cessna 172 and 206 and numerous others. They over flight instruction , sightseeing flights and even rent seaplanes to qualified pilots.
SPA is organizing what we hope will be the first of an annual try to fascinating and fun destination for our seaplane pilots. The first trip is planned to go to Lake Como Italy October 1st through 9th, 2106.
