Greetings New England Seaplane Pilots and SPA Members,
There is an important Public Hearing being held this Tuesday August 25, at 1:00pm in Dover, New Hampshire and we need as many members to attend as possible.
The public hearing intent will be to take action on a proposed closure of a two (2) mile section of the Bellamy River to seaplanes and helicopters.
The Bellamy River lies between the Pease Airport and the Town of Dover, and is a tidal river. The waterway would remain open to paddle and powered watercraft which conflicts with the Seaplane Pilot Association core mission of maintaining fair and equal access for seaplanes in regards to other user groups that are given rights to have access to such resources.
Please attend this meeting in support of keeping America’s Waterways open to seaplanes!
Meeting location: Dover Public Library 73 Locust Street 2ndFloor Lecture Room Dover, New Hampshire 1:00 PM (Please note the original date on the Hearing Notice has been changed to Tuesday August 25th)
